Ben, the head chef of Restaurant Rubini is reeling in the grief of his recently passed friend and Executive Chef, Anthony Masina.

He returns to work after a brief leave of absence, in an effort to push his feelings of anger, frustration, loss, and uncertainty. Having to take ownership of his friend's position, Ben wishes to ease his pain by removing menu items that his friend had created.

Marcello, The owner of the restaurant, believes that honoring and immortalizing Anthony through these dishes is the right thing to do. As the night begins, Ben is able to keep his emotions under control, even forgetting about his problems for a brief moment. Everything falls apart as the first dish of Anthony’s is rung up. Unable to handle the overwhelming rush of memories and emotions, Ben begins to clash with his co-workers, digging himself a pit of loneliness and despair, with no way back out.  As his mental state begins to decline, Ben will need to decide, will he accept his grief and learn to move on? Or will he be swallowed by the kitchen.
